Tobermory (Toby) (AKA) Spanky...
He is settling in very well & is a delight to share our home with, being
very affectionate & loveable & always seeking attention, which we are
able to provide. He keeps my wife & I laughing at his many antics & he
loves to take his evening walks, either in the Park or at the Marina.
Here are a few photographs of the Huang Di as he takes up a new life in
Oceanside.

22 Nov 2007
It has now been one year since we made one of your rescue dogs, Spanky, a
member of our family and I
thought that perhaps you may like to know how he is getting along.
When we took him to get his license we changed his name to Ming Tong,
however, it soon became
apparent that his disposition did not fit such a name and thus we made a
second change to his name,
which is now Tobermory, or Toby for short.
It took him some time to adjust to living with us and he had quite an
attitude, especially when
taken for his daily walks and when he encountered other dogs, being very
aggressive towards any dog,
regardless of size. He also exhibited other strange actions which appeared
to demonstrate little in
the way of trusting anyone or anything and quite honestly, we began to
wonder if we had made the
right choice in selecting him.
Gradually over a period of months he started to settle and his
aggressiveness became much less and
with lots of love and attention he has now become a wonderful little
companion, full of fun,
obedient and very loving. He is an important and highly favored member of
our family and has given
to both my wife and myself far more love and loyalty than we could have ever
wished. His
difficulties with other dogs has also vastly improved and he daily meets and
plays with many in the
park that he formerly growled and barked at, requiring me to restrain him on
his leash, whereas now
he his calm and playful with these same, former adversaries.
Toby is a very handsome dog and receives many compliments on his appearance
whenever we take him
with us outside our home. To my wife and I he is just like another child and
we are most grateful
that we decided to adopt him from you.
Sincerely,
Malcolm and Martina Thomson.
