Tara Lin (AKA) Pay Day...
27 Oct 2007
Just wanted to send you an update about the Shih Tsu that I adopted from
you. You called her Pay Day, and I renamed her Tara Lin. She has
definitely been a challenge as she needs to be taught all sorts of
manners. She’s learning to wait for permission before eating and we’re
doing pretty well with house breaking. She is getting quite good on a
leash, even walking side by side with Fergus (my Westie) without being
unruly.
She’s a jumper and a bit of an escape artist, but we’re limiting those
opportunities as much as possible. She and Fergus play non-stop and they
are sorting out which one is going to be dominant. She pretty much hated
the two weeks of crate training we did, but she sleeps in a crate in my
bedroom at night and does quite well with that. The Vet says she’s healthy
and she seems to be eating and eliminating very well.
Even with all of her challenges she is very sweet and she’s getting the
hang of being a member of the family. The attached pictures are of Tara
and Tara, Fergus, and my mother. They are a good looking group.
Thanks for providing me with the chance to give a dog a home – I know that
Tara Lin will be with me for many many years to come.
Next week we visit the groomer.
