Sienna (AKA) Waffle...

11 Jan 2008

Hi Victoria,

I am so delighted to report that the dogs are doing wonderful together! It took about a week for JD to get used to Sienna (Waffle), but now I cannot even imagine what they would do without one another. Sienna saw our Vet early last week, and he is very happy with her health and temperament. She did have Giardia, so we treated both dogs and they both have been given a clean bill of health.

As of right now, the only question I have is in regard to sharing toys. This is the one area in which the dogs show a little aggression. JD gets a little possessive and gathers all the toys available and sits on them so Siena is left with nothing to play with. We have tried taking them back form him and monitoring the situation, but the result continues to be that as soon as we walk away he hoards them again. Do you have any suggestions on how to approach this issue? Other than this one thing they have been doing great - at first they fought over us and now they are content to just lie next to one another – it is so heart warming to observe. We have attached pictures for you, feel free to put them on the site if you would like.

Thank you so much for all you did to aid in our adoption of Sienna (Waffle); she is the perfect addition to our family!

Sincerely,

Stephanie Langford
