Sasha...

Hey everyone at Zara's list. I just wanted to let you know how Zsa Zsa
is doing. I have decided to rename her Sasha. I attached a few pictures
for you. Sasha is doing well, I have run into a few problems with her
barking, but we are working through it with some strong "No's" and
sometimes the squirt bottle, she is quickly catching on. Sasha has
decided she no longer likes her bed, but has claimed mine instead,
especially my pillow. She seems to be doing well with strangers also,
she lets them hold her for a little while and then wants back in my
arms. She has tried to attack 2 dogs so far, but since she is so small,
it is pointless. I hope that she will get past this before I have to
start carrying a squirt bottle with me. I bought Sasha a tote bag so
that I can bring her to classes with me. So far, she does not really
like it, but with some treats and reassurance, she is getting used to
it. I hope that she will do well in class with me tomorrow.

I just wanted to thank you all for all the hard work and love you put
into all the pets and adoptions. It is amazing to me that so many
volunteers and people can come together for such a great cause. I hope
that in the future I may be able to be a foster mom with you guys. Keep
up all the good work. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for
bringing me Sasha, she's so great.

My name is Amy and I adopted Sasha (Zsa Zsa) a few
months ago. I wanted to let you know that she is doing great! I am
really focusing on getting her to be more comfortable around larger
groups of people and her progress is going good. She has developed
this habit of barking and chasing after bicycles, scooters, and
skateboards. This is very funny. Sasha's personality has really
started shining recently and I will continue working with her.
Hopefully we will be able to stop by and visit one weekend at Petco
in the coming weeks. I have attached a few new pictures as well.
Take care!
Sincerely,
Amy Heichel

5 July 2007
Good morning,
I was just thinking the other day that I have not sent an update on
Sasha in a long time.
We have moved to San Marcos in San Diego into a house. Sasha now has
a whole house and backyard to be queen of. I live with family,
giving Sasha more interaction with people. She seems to be adapting
to being around more people and other dogs.
There was a time about two months ago where Sasha refused to eat for
a few days. I took her into the vet and she has now had her
remaining teeth removed. She is adapting to her new wet-food diet
and is otherwise very healthy.
Again, I want to thank you all for the work you do. Last year I
brought my mother in to the Petco adoption fair and she took
Detroit, now named Benny, home. He and Sasha get along well and seem
to enjoy each others company.
Thank you
Amy Heichel
