Pippin...

Dear friends of Zara's list.
My name is Karen Nidey. A year ago
yesterday we adopted Pippin, the small black poodle with the blind eye. I
wanted to tell you how much we love her. The year has gone by so fast. She
makes us laugh as she does this funny turnabout dance.... We want to drop by
the store sometime and bring Pippin along so that you can see her. To all of
you, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thanks again for bringing
Pippin into our lives.

Glad you put Pippin's picture in your success stories. We can't send
pictures on our computer and were delighted to see her picture. She has
changed so much since we first got her. The vet said she should lose some
weight, so we have her on a diet. She shows us the pom pom (tail) when she
is not pleased. She likes breakfast at 4 in the morning and whines until we
get up. She also some how knows when it is 7 in the evening and must have
her dinner NOW. We are at her beck and call and we love it. She is my
shadow and must be near me at all times. Thank you once again for bringing
this little girl in our lives. We love her so much. Keep up the good work.

Update: 4 Feb 2007
Hi from the Nidey household,
It has been five months since Pippin's surgery on both legs to correct the
torn ACL ligaments. She is back to her old self (knock on wood). She perks
around and thinks nothing of standing on her hind legs to beg for a treat.
The vet said that she still has to be careful of jumping up or down. I can't
tell you just how much we love her. Our other dog, Ashley, is not well and
having Pippin helps take some of the hurt away. It is hard to believe that
we have had her for two years. We got her on Dec. 19th. 2004. She is getting
groomed next week as we think she is in there with all of her hair.
Keep up the good work.
Your friends, Karen and Dale Nidey.
Update story:
Update 28 Mar 2007:
Hi, I wanted to once again ask you to pray for our Pippin. She had a
seizure and a stroke. The vet is not sure what caused it. It could
even be brain tumor. We want to get an MRI done to find out what is
going on. Every once in awhile, I see our Pippin come through. She is
eating and drinking water. She cries when she wants something.
Rest assured, we would never let her suffer. We love her too much.
Thanks for bringing this wonderful girl into our lives. Whatever
happens we will take good care of her and her needs.
Keep her in your prayers.
Karen Nidey.
