Nikki (AKA) Nana...
Hi Tera and Teresa,
Just emailing
an update on Nana.............
First of all, we
just love her!
 She's a cutie, with the
sweetest disposition (as you said), and we feel fortunate to have her.
FYI, we changed her name to Nikki, as she just did not look like a
grandma (Nana) to us!?!
As expected, she was
very excited the first day; the second day (likely from all that
excitement) she did not eat and threw up a few times; the third day her
appetite was back as she settled into her new environment; and since
then, it's been a "puppy lovefest!" We've bonded,
and life is EXTRA joyful with our new addition!
We've done some housebreaking (expected
"mishaps" the first several days), and on her twice daily walks, her
little beagle nose gets a workout. In order to disperse more of that
youthful beagle energy, we play fetch several times a day. She's also
good at just relaxing wherever we happen to be in the house. She sleeps
through the night with no problem, and we're happy she was already
crated trained.
She is now licensed
in our city, and we also took her into the Vet for a "new pet exam."
Checked out great, aside from allergies, for which the Doc prescribed
some meds.
We promise to take
good care of her, as she is a very big priority in our lives. Our kind
neighbors and friends tell us Nikki "hit the lotto" when she got us ---
we feel the same about her!!! Thank you for matching us up, and for all
the good work you do for animal rescue.
