Hi Tera and Cindy,
Just a preliminary update on our new pup that we adopted on Saturday: he
is the most wonderful pup we have ever had! He is mixing with our dogs
extremely well, and doing a phenomenal job of getting housebroken. He
traveled well in the car, sleeps through the night, and eats like a champ.
We feel so fortunate to have him.
Cindy, I want to thank you for doing such a terrific job of raising this
pup. If he is any indication of the rest of the litter, none will have
trouble assimilating into new homes. You described his personality
perfectly to me, and I love him so much. He went through the toughest day
of his life on Saturday, and managed to hold it together. He shook alot,
sometimes cold and sometimes scared, but didn’t cry. I think his being
almost 12 weeks was beneficial – the extra time in a secure environment
helped him have the maturity to handle housebreaking and all the changes.
He has only had one accident in the house so far. Yesterday he had the day
to play in the yard (with us) and the house, and feels right at home. Our
PooChi is playing with him gently and enjoys his company. The pugs are
sweet to everyone . . .
I am so impressed with your organization. The bag you sent along with the
pup is great. He likes the toys and treats, and it is good to have a
supply of his food. Thank you for doing such a great job with all the dogs
who need that help. I have purchased dogs from breeders, and didn’t get
the knowledge of each pup’s personality and all the medical care & toys,
etc. that your organization provides. Your animals have a good chance of
doing well with the right home because of all that you do.
Thank you so much. We haven’t named him yet, but will write with further
updates. You are doing a wonderful service for animals and people. I can’t
thank you enough.
Here are a couple of photos of Pancake’s little guy hanging with our dog.
He is beyond cute!!!
Thank you.

Hi Gunny,
We finally named him Manny (short for “Little Man”). He is absolutely
adorable and thriving. Housebreaking is going okay and he enjoys walking
on a leash. He fit right in with our three old pugs because he is gentle
and snuggly with them. He and our Chipoo are wrestling mates. He wants
everything she has and they spend a lot of time chasing each other and
rough-housing. We could not be happier with him.
I’m glad you got in touch with us. I meant to update Cindy and Tera as
they did such a good job of raising him and getting him ready for his
forever home. Thanks for a wonderful dog.

Hi Tera,
The Chihuahua (Pancake’s white male) puppy we adopted from you last
February turned 1 year old 11-12. He is such a good dog. Totally
housebroken, gets along with our other four dogs really well, he’s
playful, extremely loving, healthy, and loves walks. We are so glad to
have him and tell everyone about your organization. I wanted you to know
that he made it through his first year with flying colors, and that he is
a great addition to our family. My daughter recently spent two weeks with
us (she lives in Costs Rica). She fell in love with “Manny” and wanted to
take him home with her. (Of course we didn’t part with him!) We have had
several houseguests, and Manny is affectionate with all of them.
Thank you for a wonderful pup who grew into a wonderful dog.
Hope you are all doing well.
