Kirby (AKA) Rascal Flats...

Jan. 6, 2008
Hi Gang,
Just wanted to let you know that Kirby AKA Rascal Flats is doing fine in his new home (adopted early Nov. 2007). Kirby is a big hit where ever he goes. People always comment on his eyes and ballet stance.
Kirby loves his daily walks and almost daily visit to the Pooch Park in Fullerton. I tell anyone who asks that he is a rescue dog that we obtained from zaraslist.com. You guys perform such a wonderful service, and we, like the hundreds of others that have used your service, appreciate all you do. For us the best part is learning about the dogs from the foster parents, they are so dedicated and are able to fill you in on the dogs good points and the areas that may need attention (in our case it was Anna who was so helpful). I recommend your service to anyone looking for an animal companion.
I know that we will enjoy Kirby for a good many years to come, and we owe it all to you for saving him from the gallows.
Best wishes,
Jay & Marilyn Russell

Hi Anna...
I thought that I would give you an update on Kirby (Rascal Flats).
He is doing really good and we still get such a kick out of him. Jay takes him on a long walk in the morning and then to the pooch park in the afternoon. Lots of people tell us how cute he is or that he looks like a Disney dog. Kirby still has his girlfriend Daisy and Jay and Daisy's owner do things together...walks, movies, etc. Kirby's back leg/foot problem seems to have worked its way out and he does not favor it anymore. He has gained about 3 lbs. and has gotten more muscular and strong. He is still trying to keep the squirrels out of the yard. Watching him sneak up on them is really funny.
We are anxious to see what he does when our tortoises and turtle come out of hibernation the beginning of March. He has not met any of them yet as they were sleeping before he came to us. We will be going on vacation in March and Leah will watch Kirby. He gets along great with her dogs and she is eager to have him stay there. We did not want to board him as it might remind him of his days at the pound. We are still working on the barking, but the mouthing is getting a lot better. He is listening to us more and more.
Sincerely Kirby's mom - Marilyn
P.S. The octopus that you gave him is still a favorite, but it now only has 3 legs.
