Jack (AKA) Macaroon...

2 July 2007

Success Story from Jennifer Thomas and Bill Bogart, cat adoptive parents of  "Macaroon", now "Jack"

Unfortunately my camera doesn't want to behave right now so I'll have to send pictures later, but here's the scoop on this once shy and quiet, gray kitten...
Boy has he gotten comfortable!

Within 2 hours on his first day with us, he took a nap in my lap while I was working at my computer. He learned who 'mommy' was instantly, and 'daddy' wasn't very long to follow.

Jack, (named for Captain Jack Sparrow of "The Pirates of the Caribbean" due to a few of his pirate-like quirks), moved in and took over!

We were worried at first about how he and our small dog would get along, now we worry about how often Jack will sneak up on, and attack the poor guy. He's fearless.

At the flip of a switch Jack goes from sweet-cuddly-loveable Jack to sly-calculating-attack-all-that-moves Jack. You can see the change in his face, it's hilarious.

When we come home from work, he's sitting in the kitchen window waiting for us, for me, this is the best part of the day. He'll follow you around and squawk until you sit down and cuddle with him, letting him know that you missed him as much as he missed you.

His new favorite toys have become feathers, Kleenex, and of course, anything anyone else happens to have in their hands when he wants to play. He has his own special sleeping spot as well, taking up most of the pillow, but laying mostly on top of Bill's head - and if dad hasn't come to bed yet, curled up under my chin, or wrapped around my neck are both adequate substitutes.

Just like our home, Jack has definitely commandeered our hearts as well!

Thanks for introducing us!
Jennifer and Bill,
(Jacks parents).
