We brought little "Jasper" home, spending the entire time in the car ride from Chino Hills trying out different names (laughing really hard when we came up with Señor Queso), but nothing stuck. Danielle agreed he needed a manly name, and we settled on Turbo. Well, after living with him for 2 days, he is about as unTurbo as can be. Let us try out the everpopular nom de plume of Byron and see how long that lasts! WOOHOO! He's still cute no matter what we name him. And he ain't smellin' like no rose either.

Hello!

I just wanted to let you know how wonderful little Jasper has been since we adopted him on Saturday. At first, we had a moment of nervousness. Right after we adopted him, he peed on the floor, got off of his leash, bit my boyfriend Dave and started barking at people in the store. My boyfriend and I reminded ourselves that he was scared and we knew adopting a new dog was going to be some work.

Let me tell you, it took about and hour for Jasper to make himself right at home. Honestly, it's been so easy, we both are AMAZED! First off, he is completely housebroken. We have not had any accidents in the house. Also, we were worried my dog might be a little territorial sharing the house. Surprisingly, it's as if they are long lost soul mates. Maile let him sleep in her bed. They play all day. The have had no problems with food and have been eating next to each other. We go on walks and they walk in sync with one another. It's so cute. He curls up in our laps and hasn't barked a bit. He's a little scared to walk up our stairs but I've got him trained to sit and I will carry him up as opposed to jumping up on me and whining. We've got him to go up 3 steps now, using treats. Eventually, we'll get him going up the whole staircase!

We called him Turbo the first day. Then we decided on Lord Byron because he was such a lover but now we've finally settled on Gatsby!
