Cooper 3...

Dec. 14, 2007
Hello,
We have been meaning to email for a long time now, but time goes by fast! We adopted Cooper last year--October 2006, and he is the dearest member of the family! He has been quite a lot of work, but very worth it. We learned along the way since he was our first adopted pet and wanted to share.
Cooper did have aggression issues that came out. We think they were dormant because he was so shell shocked, but decided we wanted to work them out. Any dog who lost his home would have some security issues right? We hired a trainer after he bit our friend and we just never gave up. He never got away with bad behavior and we gave him plenty of love and reassurance along the way. It took almost a year, but we can now have people come and stay with us and not worry. This isn't to say that we don't know his trigger points: he hates delivery men and still guards the outdoor courtyard, but these are things that many dogs do.
Cooper is the most loving dog we have ever met and is the joy of our day. There isn't a day where he doesn't crack us up with his funny little personality. He also is the most handsome mutt we've ever seen--we're not biased =)
Regards,
Patrick, Katie, and Cooper Szurpicki

Hello,
We have emailed you before but we wanted to share more fun tidbits about our favorite guy Cooper who we adopted in 10-06. He has grown into such a perfect animal--no more stranger biting at all! We cannot imagine life without him. His favorite activities include: congo dancing (very talented), shoe rearrangement, and excessive grunting while getting ear rubs. Here are a couple of his latest and greatest. We sewed him a tie for a contest he entered for the custest animal contest. We feel he was robbed.
