Barbie...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17 Jun 2007
Every once in
awhile you hit gold with a home. You have a home that welcomes and loves
your dog like you do and you know they are where they were meant to be all
along. All of us at Zara's List feel that way about Carol. We were thrilled
and blessed to have her adopt Truffles, now known as Barbie. Then she said
she was on the look out for another dog. She came to one of our events and
found Bree who is now Bella. We hit the
lottery twice. Thanks to Carol who has now adopted her second dog from
Zara's List and given 2 dogs homes of a lifetime. Carol, you truly are gold
to all of us!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a beautiful girl out of the Bakersfield Concentration Camp.
So few dogs ever make it out alive and Truffles was one of the very few.
She came to us and we found the home of a lifetime for her in ARIZONA.
Truffles is now Barbie. Why Barbie? Because that
b@#$%
has everything...and guess what? So does this one...

Hi - just wanted to say hi and to let you know Truffles (AKA -
Barbie), whom I adopted last July 4th, is doing so good! She has a
really happy life....sometimes goes for car rides with me and
hikes/walks in the desert canyons - jumping into water pools! Because
we live across the street from my office, we sometimes walk over there
and EVERYONE loves Barbie. She is spoiled rotten and loved to death!
She comes in the door and everyone takes turns loving on her. Her home
is calm and quiet - just me and her most of the time. She has her very
own doggie door and can come and go as she pleases. She is quite the
princess! She is my sweetie girl! She takes vitamins everyday - crushed
in her food - and her coat is so pretty and shiny and soft - the gals at
the office tell her to beware -someone may think she needs to be a
collar on a coat. HAHAHA! She is a little pudgier now.....just does
not get any exercise or activity...too lazy. That is one reason I am
hoping for a sister to bring some frisk into her life and play with.

Best regards,
Carol Spears

If you still have the pics I sent the other PM, pick out a cute one and
publish it to your success stories.
Indeed - Bella is!
Bella (AKA Bree) - is full of vim and vigor. Runs and plays - inside and
out - loving the freedom of her doggie door. I often find her in the
back yard - sunning herself, barking at birds and enjoying the beautiful
AZ climate.
Sometimes - she about drives Barbie to drink and annoys the daylights
out of her. On the other hand - there are times they share a rug,
relaxing in their 'sisterhood'. Barbie - God love her - wrestles with
Bella as best she can Barbie has arthritic problems in her back legs
which limits her ability to move quickly. I really believe that bringing
Bella into our home has given Barbie a 'new lease on life'. I see Barbie
flourishing and has a 'pep to her step'. Some things will not change -
we cannot turn back time - but the time Barbie has left has certainly
been enhanced by the charisma of Bella's youth.
Bella is such a sweet girly girl - everyone loves Bella! She moved in
with Barbie and I - stole my heart - and we are blessed to have her. I
am so thankful she was at the Park on Mother's Day week end and that my
grandson, Dakota, and I stopped by. My granddaughter, Briana, named her
Bella. Bella in Italian means beautiful or pretty. This is so fitting
for this little bundle of love!
Rest assured - both Barbie and Bella have a great home - want for
nothing - are spoiled and pampered to death.
Thanks for all you do! Carol Spears
