Baker...
Dear Ana (my former foster mommy)... Yesterday was my first birthday with my family. Last year on October 1st was the day that I was adopted. I miss you but I still thank you for giving me away. I hope you have a new dog to take care of. I like it here in Arkansas. I like to play with my sister Nikki. But my brothers Max and Spike don’t like to play with me very much. They just look annoyed, maybe because I am much smaller than they are. Tell the girls that I miss skating a lot. Mommy Chris has skates but can’t take me out on the road because it is gravel and skates don’t do very well on gravel. It was hard, but I am learning not to bark at the deer when they come into the yard at night to feed. I like to bark at the mail carrier who delivers the mail to the mailbox every day. I can hear the car when it comes up our road. It’s very exciting. But the most exciting thing is the thunder and lightning. It makes me crazy and I bark and run through the house when the house lights up. I love to chase after the big moths and the bugs in the yard at night. I don’t want any of those critters to get into our house. I am going to the “spa” for my birthday and get groomed and a bath. There is a lot more rain here and if my coat stays long, it gets all wet when I go out into the yard. So I get a grooming every couple of months. I have also made friends with my Aunt Connie and Uncle Phil. I stayed at their house in Julian, California before Mommy Chris and I came back to Arkansas. They live near us here. I have worked hard to learn the computer keyboard to type this letter "J" I have also learned how to attach pictures. I know you took such good care of me and are worried about my health. But I go to the vet regularly and I haven’t had any more seizures. Thanks again for loving me and taking such good care of me. My family says I give them a lot of joy – except during the thunder and lightning storms! - Love, Baker Edward King
