Matt & Kristal Matthis

It's the email and phone call any rescue loves to receive. "Hi, we're interested in fostering..." and so the relationship began with a great young couple, Matt and Kristal Matthis.

They fostered a litter of pups for us and then when it came time for photos these wonderfully imaginative photos came across my email. Something was up. These looked professional! And as turned out, they were...by Kristal. She may be a foster mom but she's a professional photographer by trade. www.kristalimage.com. And well, we couldn't let that talent go to waste and Kristal has been photographing animals for us since then!

But they weren't done with fostering yet. They took on several project pups and adults before a little puff ball caught their eye one day...and in came an application for one of our puppies at another foster home. Of course we want them to adopt! So to their 2 large breed dog and 2 feline home, they added a little small breed furry friend, Lil' Bandit, who loves nothing more than to chase after the pen light that flashes around the room.

Our very own Matt is a hero firefighter with a local Fire Department.
But he's just Dad when he walks in the door and is greeted by his dogs!

So what began with an email to foster continues with folks who use their talents and energy to help save more animals.
