She came in looking like she had eaten well but wasn't very active. We of course attributed it to her battling kennel cough. Little did we know. The shelter had deferred her spay b/c of her cold.
But then the phone call came on Saturday night..."Um, Street's having puppies!" "What? She's not even pregnant. Or wait. She's not chubby? Oh my. She was pregnant..." Sometimes you just don't know what you're getting into when you agree to foster a dog and so our wonderful foster family got what they actually wanted all along and that was a litter. Again, we are blessed to have folks who are so versatile and willing to do whatever is necessary for a dog and in this case, dogs.
And so we welcomed 3 beautiful little puppies on Oct. 12th. They will be available for adoption mid December.
Update for Street's Pups (aka Lil' Bit):
As of January 7, 2007 QT is the remaining puppy from this litter as well as Mom who is looking for their new home. QT is 12 weeks old, about 2lbs and will be very small when full grown. Currently her foster mom enjoys carrying her around in her pursue where she sinks right in and no one even knows she's there! She has been with dogs and older children but sorry, no small kids for her. We are looking for a home that will pamper her and adore her and treat her like the Princess that she believes that she is...
