"Hey, I know you just left but a woman just turned in (2) 3 week old baby Chihuahuas. Do you want them?"
It's our favorite Officer on the other end of the phone. He's a rescue favorite and we adore him. It comes with the terroritory when you find someone in a position of leadership that shows such compassion for the animals and who is always making an effort to help save a life. You never say no to your favorite Officer even when the Inn is full.
It's already after 9pm and it's been a long day at the shelter. Who knows where this litter will go but we have to find a place for them. Make some phone calls. Shift some dogs around and make promises to give a foster family a break and worry about when later...For now, we'll save Rose and her Blossoms. Look for these little ones to be on our available pet list at the end of August.

Tera and Karen,
Rosie and puppies have settled nicely.....Im having trouble thinking how I will be able to let her go...uh oh. She knows "no" and "stay", amazing! (not sit, but who cares!) I have sent out thousands of emails about them and Zara's list and asked people to forward to all on their contact lists....Their pics have literally been around the world already!
I had no idea this would be so easy.....
