We received a call about a very pregnant Mom at the shelter. We saw her and erroneously assumed she had at least a week before her pups were due. Well, well, well. Less than 48 hrs. we have 7 beautiful little pups.
Our first time whelping family did extraordinary! We are very proud of everyone and grateful to have folks who are willing to give of their precious time and energy to help us save these lives. Mom, Dad and even the kids pitched in to help.
You can expect these pups to be available around Sept. 13ish...We'll keep you updated how they are doing as they grow...

8/10/06: Layna's litter has moved onto cereal and is growing big and strong. They're 3 weeks old and going into their fourth week of life in our rescue!
Sometimes you just catch some zzzzz's however you can...
