On June 12th PM I received the call from Tera that a Momma Chi and her pups were at the shelter and had been on the PTS list for 3 days. Momma Chi would not let anyone touch her or her pups. But, Tera, in all her braveness, talked to her gently, reached into pet her and low and behold in her lap she was. So here I go again, my second litter. Now lovingly known as Jem and the Holograms (a 1980s cartoon program). There are 3 Boys Bouncer, Zipper, & Clash, and 2 girls Aja & Raya. I've had Jem and her little babies, that were born at the shelter 6/4/07, for 2 days. They had their first visit with Dr. Bart today 6/14 and all looks well. Momma got a couple of shots and all the pups were weighed in (which I took pix of) and looked over by Dr. Bart and staff. Everyone passed with flying colors. So all were packed back up and back home they came to a nice quiet environment to relax, eat, play and grow in. Until the day they are ready to move on to their forever homes. Jem has turned out to be a very sweet girl and just likes to have your attention as with most Chi's. She doesn't mind me touching or hanging out with her babies at all. Once home, Momma got to check all the pups out and give them a little feeding before the photo secession began. Its one of my favorite parts of have a litter to care for. I love taking LOTS of pictures!!! So hear are some of my favorite shots of each puppy and some of Jem:
