A friend of the rescue was in a neighborhood at a going away party when some kids from next door asked for assistance with their puppy. They brought their puppy over and his leg was dangling the wrong way. They stated they didn't know what happened. The kids also indicated there was a puppy from the litter that wasn't moving after one of the kids "accidentally" kicked her.

So we have the 3 puppies now. One did have a dislocated and fractured leg that is healing nicely. The cast has been removed and puppy is using the leg to run and jump (much to our dismay!). Two others are doing wonderfully and all 3 are looking for their lifetime homes. They are approximately 8 weeks old. Their mom was a Cockapoo-Terrier mix and we believe Dad in the neighborhood was a Cocker. Mom was approximately 30lbs. We expect the pups to be in this range.

The puppies do well with people, though we will not place them in homes with small children as they've survived enough trauma at the hands of kids already. They are a bit intimidated at first with the dog in their foster home, so introduce gently! They love nothing more than to play with the resident cat in their foster home. They think she's the greatest thing since sliced bread!
