"Yeah, we found them on the street. They were just walking down the street."

Sure. We find 3 week old puppies walking down the street all the time. Sure, they were strays. Unfortunately the people never did tell the shelter who the Mom or Dad was and they were perfectly content to leave the pups at the shelter knowing that they would be euthanized immediately because they were unweaned. Not even a blink of the eye as the guy signed the form.

Someone came out in the kennels and told us we had to come to the front. You always know that means something is wrong.

And here they were in a box.

Time stops. You know what they're asking without a word even being spoken. Everyone looking at us with hopeful eyes, almost pleading. It's you or they are headed for the back. Shelters don't have bottle feeders and they can't put unweaned puppies in the kennels. This is when rescue is truly needed.

Dang. Where will these two go?

But how do you look into their eyes and then say no, knowing that their fate is in your hands? This is make it or break it time. Time to make some phone calls. Some pleading and begging to be done when finally someone says yes. And yes to bottle feeding at that. Amazing. We have some phenomenal people in this rescue who never say No either.

They are 7 weeks old. Every day we have a different guess what their DNA may be in those bodies. What we do know for sure is that they have been raised in an awesome foster home with 2 young, sweet girls who loved and doted on their every whim. Give this foster home a pup and by the time he/she leaves, well, that pup is housetrained. These two are no different. Both are crate trained and housetrained. That's amazing. Both are well socialized with other dogs, with adults and with kids. They've been exposed to cats and couldn't care less as most pups. They are more interested in the 2 legged companions in the home and the buddles of toys in toy box!

Fred is the follower in the group. He loves to be held and cuddled. He wants nothing more than to be smothered with kisses and to give many in return. He loves to be held like a baby. He loves to play with his sister but the world stops when the foster family comes in!

Ginger is playful, energetic and more the adventuresome type. She is full of life and wants to be on the go. She wants to explore and has an agenda and things to do all day long. She has some time to be held and cuddled but then she is off to be busy. She has a fabulous personality and will make a great family dog.
