We received a call from another rescuer that they were in need of finding a home for Moms and kittens. The litter had been dropped off at the doorstep and as they came out, wow, what a surprise. So because they were a dog rescue they were in need of someone with cats to help out. We gladly helped.

They were all very friendly and happy but so-so-so thin. They smelled to high heaven and it was obvious that whoever dropped them off on the doorstep of the rescue, had never cared for these longhaired beauties. Momma was just starving for food and attention but the kitties had obviously been socialized by someone. More than likely there were kids in the household because the kittens LOVE PEOPLE.

Tried to find Gaelic names that we could actually spell and that fit the ‘chauns personalities. They are all EXTREMELY socialized. They come running to any human who enters the room, just like a pack of puppies. They and Darby need more weight on them. They are all bony and still a bit crusty (as a result of this morning’s wet food breakfast). They’re not quite big enough yet to manage dry food. I’ll be combing them all out tonite. Darby has some knots and I didn’t want to stress her out with a bath and comb out all in the first nite. Everyone got towel dried last nite but since they are all fluffy, they need some extra help.
