July 5th the pups are 3 months old. They are having the time of their life in their foster home playing with the Cocker Spaniel who resides there permanently and the kids who adore the pups! This litter came to our rescue when they were approximately 3 weeks old from the animal shelter. Freya (mom) is a Cocker Spaniel mix and weighs about 25lbs. The pups are well socialized as they live in a home with dogs, cats and kids. Our rescue does not place puppies in homes with children under 6 years old.

Cookie is a bit more mellow, playing well with the kids but climbing up into their lap to sleep as soon as he gets tired. He is also working on potty training, and is doing well. He is learning the basic sit command with success, but will continue to need training. Due to his unknown parentage, Cookie should be trained and socialized just as persistently as Odin. He should be introduced to new situations, and a new owner would benefit from ongoing training throughout his life.

Cookie is a loving pup which occasionally gets annoyed with the kids, but generally just loves and plays with them. They are trying to teach him to fetch, with surprising success. He is smart and eager to please. He could be an excellent trick dog, should someone be willing to put the time into it. Otherwise, he will love anyone willing to feed and pet him.

So you ask what genes could he have in there? WHO KNOWS! He's smooth and soft coated. We would guess he will be in the 30-40lb range but that's a guess...
