The Pit Stop
They were dropped off at the shelter with little regard as to whether they would make it out alive or not. They're big, bad scary Pit bulls so their chances were less than others. Don't they look big and bad?! It's a breed that is often maligned and associated with all things evil when in reality they have a long legacy of search and rescue, helping in war times and most importantly being a fantastic family pet.

Yes, there are horror stories. But a dog doesn't "suddenly" turn bad and Pits are no exception. No matter what the nightly news tells you. But it sure makes a good story! Any dog that engages in an egregious act, had a long history before that warned of the pending doom. But that doesn't sell a story as well as a dog who suddenly turned diabolical.

These three are beauties won't make the nightly news. They also won't be part of the statistics of euthanized dogs at the shelter. They live with a litter of 6 other puppies who all wrestle, and play non-stop. They're loving and sweet. They are well taken care of by their surrogate Dad, an older Aussie mix who adopted them all. He keeps them in line.

They live in a foster home with dogs and cats. We'll look for dog savvy homes who want to love and treasure our little ones who want a fabulous pet who will be in the 50-60lbs range when full grown and will be wonderfully loyal and attentive to an owner.
