You made it alive through your mom's c-section but you never had a fighting chance. We didn't know my friends. We loved you for the time that you were with us and we thought we'd get to watch you grow up. Your little bodies fought so hard and wanted to live. Oh how we wanted to see you in the years to come. We wanted to know if you would look like your beautiful mom. We look at her daily and only imagine what you would have looked like as you grew up. I've never been so close to walking away from rescue as I was when we had to say goodbye to you.
