Teresa McCurry is a whirl-wind of activity. There isn't anything that she doesn't do and there isn't anything she can't do. One minute you may find her bottle feeding and another minute she may be battling with a shelter to hand over that "vicious Pitbull" that somehow will end up slobbering all over her on the way home. She's a foster, she's a volunteer, she's a "jack of all trades" but most of all, she's just the Rescue Mom.

She's the one who comforts those who lose a long fought battle over a neglected animal and she's the one in the midst of a whelping as she coaxes the momma on...Teresa is truly the definition of a willing spirit. She gives of her heart to everyone who meets her and anyone who needs a shoulder to cry on, she always seems to have an extra one. She will go the distance to fight for an animal that deserves to live and she's the first one to recognize when it's time to say goodbye.

Perhaps more than anyone she has suffered the most as she takes on the hardest cases. She prayed, begged, pleaded and ultimately lost a fight for her dog, Anew in a long battle with cancer. She bottle fed little QP right up until that 9th week when his little body gave up and she knew she had to say goodbye. For many of us, we thought that was the end of it for her. But it wasn't as there are more lives to save, more people to stand and fight with and ultimately more people in the rescue who need a Mom.
